Red Kidney Beans Sausages or Hamburgers - Vegan / Vegetarian Recipe

Red Kidney Beans Sausages or Hamburgers


Note: A legume (kidney beans) + a cereal (kamut or spelt flour) = a complete vegan protein.
        Serves: 10-12 servings




Ingredients:


3 cups cooked organic red kidney beans (soaked at least 8 h in advance);


4 cooked potatoes;


4 cooked carrots;


2 diced tomatoes;


¼ cup first cold pressed olive oil;


½ teaspoon organic garlic powder;


½ teaspoon sweet or smoked paprika (red bell pepper powder);


1 teaspoon thyme;


 1 teaspoon iodine-free salt;


¼  teaspoon  black pepper powder;


1 teaspoon baking powder;


¼ cup kamut or gluten-free breadcrumbs.







Instructions:


 


Mix the red beans, potatoes, carrots and oil with the ‘s’ –shaped blade to obtain a smooth cream.


Pour the mixture in a bowl and mix the rest of the ingredients slowly, with a wooden spoon.



Preheat the oven at 350 F.


Roll the paste in little sausages or patties and place them on an oiled oven plate.




Cover and cook for 30 min.

Turn them over at half-time.





Take out the tray and sprinkle with oiled water.





Serve hot with a raw vegetable salad. Here are some examples:

Peach-Apple-Banana Ice Cream



Note 1: For an alkaline digestion, do not serve as a dessert, but rather as a snack or a complete meal replacement (with the chia seeds and ground flax for protein intake).

 




 Ingredients:

    2 frozen bananas (two peeled bananas kept in the freezer for at least two hours);

   1 pitted peach or nectarine;

       ½ pitted Golden apple;

       1 teaspoon vanilla extract;

       ¼ cup almond or flax milk;

       1 tablespoon freshly ground flax seeds (optional, for protein intake);

       1 tablespoon chia seeds (optional, for protein intake);

       1 slice fresh peach and one slice fresh apple for decoration (optional);




Instructions:

 

Place all fruit in a food processor and mix for 1 minute.

Add the vegetable milk and vanilla extract and continue processing until smooth and creamy. 




Place the icecream in a serving cup and spread the chia seeds and flax flour before serving (optional).




Serve immediately and place the rest in the freezer.
